Apple has today created an official Instagram account (@Apple) to share ‘Shot on iPhone’ images taken by iPhone users around the world.
While Apple has been running commercials on Instagram for some time, this is the first time the company has created a followable account, with Apple encouraging Instagram users to use the hashtag #ShotoniPhone for a chance to have their imagery featured by Apple as part of their ongoing Shot on iPhone campaign.
Apple has been taking a more proactive approach to social media recently, with the company launching both Facebook and Twitter accounts to promote their products as well as opening up @AppleSupport on Twitter last November.
