iPhone Repairs

The iPhone is one of the most repaired devices we see, and for good reason — it travels everywhere and takes a lot of daily wear. Our work covers all current and recent iPhone models.

Common Repairs

Screen & Display Replacement

Cracked glass, broken touch response, or display discolouration are the most common iPhone complaints we handle. We work with you to confirm the correct part specification for your model before beginning the repair. Most display replacements do not require data access, though we recommend backing up before any hardware service.

Battery Replacement

iPhone batteries are rated for approximately 500 full charge cycles before capacity begins to decline noticeably. We check the current health percentage before work begins and confirm the replacement has made a measurable difference before returning the device. Signs that a battery replacement may be appropriate include unexpected shutdowns, significant charge drain during moderate use, and visible swelling.

Water & Liquid Damage

Despite splash resistance ratings on newer models, iPhones can be affected by prolonged water exposure. The most important step after liquid contact is to power off the device and avoid attempting to charge it. We carry out internal inspection and cleaning to assess the extent of the damage, and provide an honest picture of what's recoverable before any work proceeds.

Charging Port & Power Issues

Charging problems are sometimes caused by debris in the Lightning or USB-C port rather than a hardware fault. We check for this first before recommending a component replacement. Genuine connector faults — where the port is damaged or corroded — can often be repaired or replaced depending on the model.

Software Faults

Not all iPhone problems are hardware-related. Boot loops, persistent crashes, or unusual behaviour may respond to a restore or software intervention. We diagnose the fault before recommending a course of action, and we'll let you know if the issue is something you could resolve yourself.

Before You Bring It In

  • Disable Find My if asked to leave the device with us

MacBook Repairs

MacBook repairs can be more complex than phone repairs due to Apple's integrated designs and the variety of models in circulation. We take the time to diagnose correctly before recommending a repair.

Common Repairs

Display Repair

MacBook displays can develop backlight failure, dead pixels, colour banding, or physical cracks. The repair approach varies significantly by model. Some display faults are isolated to the panel; others involve the display cable or logic board. We diagnose before quoting to avoid unexpected costs.

Battery Service

MacBook batteries have defined cycle counts, typically 1000 cycles before significant capacity degradation. We check the cycle count and current health before recommending a replacement. macOS Battery Health settings show your battery condition — a Service Recommended message is a clear indicator that replacement is worth considering.

Keyboard & Trackpad Issues

Keyboard faults vary by MacBook generation. The butterfly mechanism keyboards from 2016–2019 had known reliability issues; these can often be addressed with targeted key replacement. Newer Magic Keyboard MacBooks have a more conventional mechanism with a better reliability record. We assess the extent of the fault before discussing options.

Charging & Power Faults

Charging issues may originate with the MagSafe or USB-C port, the charging board, the SMC, or the battery itself. We work through each methodically. Some charging faults respond to an SMC reset before any hardware intervention is needed.

macOS Diagnostics

Kernel panics, startup failures, disk errors, and performance problems all have different root causes. We use Apple Diagnostics and macOS tools to identify the origin of the fault before recommending a course of action. Not all macOS issues require hardware repair.

iPad Repairs

iPads are frequently used in situations where drops and knocks are likely — at home, in schools, and on the move. Screen damage is the most common complaint, but battery and charging issues are also frequent.

Screen & Digitiser Replacement

iPad screens are typically bonded to the digitiser layer, which means replacements require careful work to separate and re-seal without damaging either component. We handle this with appropriate care and discuss the process with you before starting. Display quality after replacement depends on the grade of component used, which we discuss upfront.

Battery Replacement

iPad batteries are sealed within the device and require careful disassembly. If your iPad is no longer lasting a typical day of use, or struggles to hold charge, a battery service may extend its useful life significantly. We assess current capacity before recommending replacement.

Charging Port Faults

Lightning and USB-C ports on iPads can accumulate debris or sustain connector damage over time. We inspect the port before recommending repair, as cleaning sometimes resolves what appears to be a hardware fault.

Liquid Damage Assessment

iPads are not water resistant in any meaningful way. If your iPad has been exposed to liquid, we recommend powering it off and bringing it in for inspection as soon as possible. Liquid damage outcomes can vary significantly, and we provide a transparent assessment before any repair attempt.

Apple Watch Repairs

Apple Watch repairs require precision and the right tooling. We assess each watch individually, taking the model and series into account when discussing the repair options and whether they represent good value.

Common Repairs

Display & Crystal Repair

Cracked Apple Watch displays are one of the more common wearable repairs. The repair feasibility depends on the series and whether the damage is limited to the glass or extends to the OLED panel beneath. We assess this before quoting and discuss whether the repair cost is proportionate given the device's age and value.

Battery Replacement

Apple Watch batteries typically show meaningful degradation after two to three years of regular use. If your watch is not lasting the day, a battery replacement can make a significant difference. We assess the battery health alongside the overall condition of the watch before recommending service.

Charging & Connectivity Issues

Wireless charging faults, inability to pair with iPhone, or persistent Bluetooth issues may be software or hardware in origin. We work through the diagnostic process systematically to identify where the fault lies before recommending a course of action.

MacBook Battery

MacBook batteries are rated for 1000 cycles. We work with MacBook Air and Pro models, verify the cycle count and current health, and provide the battery health report before and after service.

iPad Battery

iPad batteries are sealed within the case and require careful disassembly. We work through the process methodically to avoid secondary damage, and test charging and capacity before returning the device.

Screen replacements typically do not require access to your data, but we recommend keeping a current backup as a precaution before any hardware service.

Fault Finding

Diagnostics & Troubleshooting

Our diagnostic service is the foundation of everything we do. We don't recommend repairs we can't justify.

What the Diagnostic Covers

We examine the device externally, run built-in hardware tests where available, check battery health and cycle data, review software logs, and inspect physical connections and components as needed. For MacBooks, we use Apple Diagnostics to flag hardware faults at a component level.

What Happens Next

After the diagnostic, we explain what we found in plain language and discuss the repair options. We don't proceed with any work without your agreement. If the device has multiple faults, we prioritise with you and explain what each repair involves and what to expect from it.

When We Can't Help

Not every device can be repaired to a functional state. We tell you this as clearly as possible, without wasting your time or money on work that won't produce a usable outcome. This includes severe water damage, logic board faults where parts are unavailable, and situations where repair cost would far exceed the device's value.

Data Considerations

Diagnostics do not typically require access to your data. We advise making a backup before any hardware service, however, as a precautionary measure. For data recovery enquiries — where a device has failed and important files need to be retrieved — please contact us to discuss the situation before bringing the device in.

We maintain a small selection of workshop-prepared refurbished Apple devices. Each device goes through an internal inspection and testing process before being made available.

Refurbished devices come with a 90-day workshop warranty. We're transparent about the device's condition, history where known, and battery health at the time of sale.
